Royal London appoints Daniel Cazeaux as interim CEO of Royal London Asset Management
Royal London today announces that Hans Georgeson has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) after five years in the role, a period that has seen the business grow rapidly while strengthening its reputation for being one of the UK's leading responsible investors.
Barry O'Dwyer, Royal London's Group Chief Executive Officer, will now begin a process to find a successor for Hans. In the interim, Daniel Cazeaux, Group Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed to the role.
Dan joined Royal London in 2020 and is a chartered accountant with strong financial services expertise. Before joining Royal London, he was a partner at KPMG in the UK, where he led client teams supporting UK and global financial services companies.
Dan has been closely involved in RLAM's strategy and in the development of the Group's private markets ambitions, including the acquisition of Dalmore Capital, a UK-based infrastructure investment manager.
Dan will join the Royal London Asset Management, Royal London Unit Managers and Royal London Unit Trust Managers Boards and will remain on the Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Board. He will provide continuity and stability until a permanent successor is appointed.
Barry O'Dwyer, Group Chief Executive Officer, Royal London, said:
"I would like to thank Hans for his significant contribution over the past five years. Under his leadership, RLAM has grown strongly, broadened its investment capabilities and strengthened its position as a leading UK asset manager. We wish him continued success in his next role.
"Dan is an excellent interim appointment. He combines deep financial services expertise with a strong understanding of Royal London, RLAM and the strategic priorities shaping the business. This means he is well placed to support RLAM through this period and maintain our focus on delivering for clients."
Daniel Cazeaux, interim Chief Executive Officer, Royal London Asset Management, said:
"RLAM is a business with strong momentum, a clear strategy and a highly capable leadership team. I have worked closely with Hans over recent years and have seen first-hand the strength of RLAM's investment capabilities, client focus and long-term ambition. I look forward to working with colleagues to maintain that momentum, continue delivering for clients and support the next stage of the business's growth."
