No Children's Critical Illness Cover
If you don’t have any children, or if you don’t have immediate plans to start a family, you can choose not to have Children's Critical Illness Cover as part of your plan.
Our definition of children includes legally adopted children and financially dependent children up to the age of 22, or 23 if in full time education, (whether born before or after the start date of the plan).
If you make a claim for your child, it doesn’t affect your main Critical Illness Cover.
If the worst happened and you were faced with your child being critically ill, our Helping Hand service is there to support you and your family.
You have access to your own dedicated nurse for practical and emotional support when you need it most. Depending on circumstances, the nurse can recommend services such as:
- Access to a specialist children's nurse
- Play therapy
- Emotional support during difficult times
- Practical help at home - up to 12 hours domestic support to relieve the burden of keeping a house running
Helping Hand is a package of support services, provided by third parties that aren’t regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. These services aren’t part of our terms and conditions, so can be amended or withdrawn at any time.
