We've been a mutual since 1908, and today are one of the last few remaining mutual insurers in the UK.

Our mutuality gives us a direct line to our members and customers, so we’re able to create and adapt products based on feedback to shape insurance plans that really work for our customers. What’s more, it means we can put more profit into making top-notch products, where other companies have to pop it into the pockets of shareholders.

Introducing our tailored plans

Not everyone knows what cover they need or how much. That’s why we also offer tailored insurance plans to fit around you and your family. These plans give you flexibility to choose different types of cover for different amounts and lengths of time.

They offer cover for 60 illnesses, including the most common reasons to claim (cancer, heart attack, stroke, children’s critical illness and multiple sclerosis), so you’re in safe hands.

And they come with Helping Hand, a support service that gives you and your family (partner and children) access to a dedicated nurse to help you through difficult times.
