Following the Chancellor’s announcement of a new UK-wide programme to improve numeracy skills in today’s Budget, Sarah Pennells, our Consumer Finance Specialist said:

“We wait to see the detail, but the announcement of an investment of £560 million in a UK-wide numeracy programme, is welcome. People with low numeracy skills are likely to lose out in the jobs market, and they will struggle to make informed decisions about spending, borrowing and saving. Improving numeracy skills is a win for the economy and will help people improve their financial resilience and wellbeing.”
