Looking for Friends Provident?

Royal London acquired, from Friends Provident, a small book of life and savings plans taken out before 1999. These plans were taken out with London & Manchester and were sold to customers door to door (often referred to as Industrial Branch).

If you had, or think you had, a life and savings plan with Friends Provident or London & Manchester taken out before 1 January 1999 and you’d like to find out more, we’re here to help.

If you had a Friends Provident or London & Manchester life and savings plan taken out after 1 January 1999 or a Bonds, Pensions and Shares plan, taken out at any time, these were acquired by Friends Life which is now part of Aviva. You should contact them for more information.

Frequently asked questions

The company I’m looking for isn’t listed. Does that mean my plan isn’t with Royal London?

We’re afraid so. But just because your plan isn’t with us, doesn’t mean all is lost.

To take your search further, there are other sources you can use that are ready and willing to help.

For pension plans

My plan was from a number of years ago – will you still have my details?

Absolutely. If the company your plan was with is listed on this page, we can trace it.

All you need to do is give us a call on the number shown, and our experts will be happy to help.

What details will I need when I call?

If you have any paperwork from the company your plan was with, it should hopefully mention a plan, plan number or scheme number. That would be a great starting point.

If you don’t have anything like that, don’t panic. We’ll be able to search for your plan using more general details like your name, address and date of birth.

My partner/relative passed away and I’ve found a statement in their name. Can I still call you?

Of course you can. All you need to do is give us the plan number or plan reference on the statement when you call.
