Your Pay Your Way is a social enterprise which provides financial education across Scotland. Their aim is to create a Scotland where people have a solid understanding of their personal finances and are equipped to make financial decisions with confidence.
Through a programme covering various financial topics in an inclusive, adaptable and interactive way, Your Pay Your Ways supports people to help themselves financially. Their programmes encourage: a reduction in unplanned debt, an increase in household savings and emergency funds, improved financial wellbeing and better decision making and planning for the future.

Your Pay Your Way was created to address the issues I saw in my own community. I could see that people were making poor mistakes with their money in an area experiencing multiple deprivation.
When I thought about why this was happening – spending money on things like takeaways while unable to afford school jackets – I realised that we had left school not knowing how to open a bank account let alone making good financial decisions.
The programme was initially created to target young people leaving school and mitigate the risks of poor financial management but has grown to include people of all ages.
