How much will I be charged?

Our annual management charge (AMC) will follow a tiered charging structure. This means that as the value of your ISA grows, the charge you pay as a percentage will fall.

If you’re a personal pension customer, our AMC will match the current charging structure of your pension with us. The bigger your combined investment in your pension and ISA, the lower our AMC will be as a percentage.

If you have an existing product with us that isn't a pension, or you're new to Royal London, our AMC will be based on the value of the investments in your ISA.

The table below shows what charge you'll pay depending on how much is in your ISA and personal pension (if applicable).

Value of investments Our annual management charge
0 - £46,600 0.75%
£46,600 - £93,200 0.50%
£93,200 - £279,000 0.45%
£279,000 - £932,000 0.40%
£932,000+ 0.35%

Our AMC is calculated as a percentage of your total investment and is deducted monthly from your plan each month so there's nothing you need to do.

Example of our charge

To give you an idea of how our charge will work for a personal pension customer, let's introduce you to Charlotte.

  • Charlotte is a personal pension customer. Her pension has a value of £30,000 and is invested in the Governed Range.
  • She takes out our Stocks and Shares ISA and transfers in £10,000.
  • She chooses to invest her ISA in one of the Governed Portfolios, part of the same Governed Range as her pension.

Value of investments = £40,000

Pension value of £30,000 and ISA transfer of £10,000

Our AMC = 0.75%

Our total charge = £25 per month *

This is taken automatically from her plan.

* This is only an example. Your actual charge will depend on how much you have invested and where you invest your money.

Externally managed investments

As well as the funds we manage like our Governed Portfolios, you can also invest in a range of funds managed by other investment managers. Your charge may vary depending on which fund you select.
