Lions Women’s Founding Partner

History will be made with the first ever British & Irish Lions Women’s Team and Tour to New Zealand in 2027.

As Founding Partner, we’re proud to have helped to make this happen, from funding the Feasibility Study in 2021 through to our elite and grassroots support in the run up to 2027.

Hear from elite players from across the Home Unions on what the inaugural Lions Women’s means to them:

What do you want Lions Women’s to represent?

Poppy Mellanby, Scotland: ‘I've written dreams coming true.’

Gwennan Hopkins, Wales: ‘Our place in history.’

Natasha Hunt, England: ‘The best people, the best players coming together to create that legacy.’

Lilli Ives Campion, England: ‘Time to make history and shape the future.’

Hannah Walker, Scotland: ‘History makers.’

Catriona Finn, Ireland: ‘It's the beginning of a legacy.’

Holland Bogan, Scotland: ‘Being the best selected for the best is like the highest honour.’

Beibhinn Parsons, Ireland: ‘I think growing up I just really wanted to have the opportunity to wear a red jersey. It wasn't something that I saw girls wearing. So the fact that that's now something for the future generations to look up and see, I think that's just really exciting.’

Aoife Wafer, Ireland: ‘Inspire the next generation.’

Lisa Thomson, Scotland: ‘To show young Scottish girls that that is a pathway through to the highest level of rugby.’

Meg Jones, England: ‘To inspire and be inspired.’

Emily Coubrough, Scotland: ‘New people can see the sport and see what we do. I think it's good that they have the opportunity to look up to us as role models and hopefully see what they can achieve.’
