Payment information

Legally we can only pay to the policyholder(s), if you are completing this form on behalf of the policyholder, please enter their payment details.

Please note the account must be in the policyholders sole or joint names.

For direct credit payments, please note:

• We can only pay into a Building Society account if it has a Sort Code & Account Number.
• We cannot pay into a Post office account.
• We cannot pay into a business account.

This can take up to 3-5 working days to clear in your account.

Our preferred payment method is direct credit as this is the fastest option and will take between 3-5 working days. We can send a cheque if required, however this can take up to 10 working days (please allow for postal delays).

Providing Documentation

In your cash in quotation letter, have you been asked to provide any of the below documentation?

• Assignment forms / deeds
• Letters of no interest (if your policy was assigned to a bank building society)
• If you own a joint policy please upload a signed letter from both policyholders saying they agree to surrender. Please also upload ID for both policyholders
• If you live outside of the UK – we will need to see ID and Proof of Bank if you are requesting to be paid by Direct Credit.

How to upload documents

You can upload your documents in any of the following formats:

To make this easier, you can upload scanned images or pictures of the documents you have taken using your mobile phone.

How to take a photo of your ID / Documentation:

• We need to see all 4 corners of any documentation for it to be acceptable
• Screen shots from a mobile phone are not accepted
• Make sure you’ve not covered any part of the page
• You can clearly see all the text and it’s in focus
• There's no shine from a light or window
• If uploading a passport, the book should be open showing 2 pages and you can clearly see your face and all the text is in focus.

If we have asked to see identification, we accept a passport, full driving licence, national ID cards as well as other forms of identification.

• I understand that the values quoted on the cash in quotation letter are what Royal London pay on the date the quotation was produced. It could change before we process this instruction so you might get more or less than this.
• I agree to continue the ‘Cash In’ process based on the quotation I have been provided.
• These policies aren't currently assigned to anyone who could have any claim on them. (If you have assigned your policy it means it’s now owned by another person or organisation, such as a bank or building society).
• I will compensate Royal London for any costs it incurs as a result of me ticking this declaration.  (For example if I've assigned the policy and the rightful policyholder subsequently claims on it).
