Behind the scenes
Our TV adverts required a rather eclectic range of locations – from battlefields to chimney tops and from medieval villages to plague-ridden court-yards! Because the majority of the action was shot for real (rather than using any CGI or special effects) we often had to pinch ourselves to make sure we hadn’t actually been transported back in time. We hope you enjoy the final result.
A group of medieval soldiers having a team talk in advance of our battle-scene - not a sight you see every day!
Our soldiers rehearsing their battle sequence before we started shooting
The rather un-glamorous truth that lay behind our epic chimney-top scene
Our brilliant little chimney sweeps getting ready for their first take of the day
Our Director Nathan Price giving a few pointers to our leading man, Roy (the brilliantly talented actor and comedian Gethin Alderman)
The flying pedaloon scene was possibly the most technically challenging of all and involved 2 cranes, 100s of metres of wire and 1 very brave stunt man
Two rather dapper looking members of our cast getting in character before shooting their scene
The snow wasn’t real but none the less a very cold day of shooting for our ‘King and Queen’ scene
Our King and Queen getting their finishing touches before their big scene
