Responding to today’s UK Labour Market Statistics which show the number of over 65s still in work continuing to grow Helen Morrissey, Pensions Specialist said:

“Today’s statistics show the number of people aged over 65 still in work is continuing to grow. While some people will need to stay in work out of necessity because they haven’t saved enough to fund their retirement many people are working longer because they want to. UK businesses need to do all they can to tap into this enormous reserve of talent and help older people remain in work. By doing this older people can continue to make a valuable contribution to the UK economy while also passing on their experience to younger generations.”
