Royal London announces search for media agency

Royal London, the largest mutual life, pensions and investment company in the UK, has announced the start of a tender process for its media planning and buying requirements. For support in the pitch and selection process Royal London has enlisted AAR.
The media planning and buying brief is a wide one as the successful agency will help support all Royal London’s advertising including TV, outdoor, digital and extensive B2B campaigns. Royal London total media spend is around £10 million annually.
Commenting on the search for a media agency, Royal London Group Head of Brand & Sponsorship, Emma Hill said;
“We have come a long way in a year since launching Royal London’s new masterbrand. We felt it was a good time to seek a different approach to media planning and buying. The past 12 months has seen a major increase in brand recognition across all our key markets but we have ambition to take the Royal London brand even further. We are seeking a media agency to support us in this.”
Since the launch of the new brand VCCP Media have been Royal London’s media agency. VCCP are retained by Royal London for creative advertising.
