RLAM to expand LDI offering with appointment of Nick Woodward
6 June 2016
Royal London Asset Management (RLAM), one of the UK’s leading fund management companies, today announces the appointment of Nick Woodward as Head of Liability Driven Investments (LDI). Nick will join on 1 July 2016 and report directly to Jonathan Platt, Head of Fixed Interest. Working across RLAM and the wider Royal London Group, Nick will advise and oversee LDI strategies for RLAM’s clients.
Nick will initially focus on working with consultants to offer a high quality, bespoke solution for current and prospective RLAM clients in the LDI space. These strategies will complement both RLAM’s active credit and Buy & Maintain offering.
Nick joins Royal London Asset Management from F&C Asset Management where he was a senior member of their LDI team. Nick also worked as Head of Modelling at KPMG and as a pensions adviser at Deutsche Bank and Aon Hewitt.
Jonathan Platt, Head of Fixed Income at Royal London Asset Management, commented: “As the fixed income landscape evolves, we continue to develop a number of high quality, bespoke LDI solutions to meet the challenges faced by our clients. Hiring Nick enables us to build out our capability in this space and I look forward to welcoming him to RLAM. LDI strategies are one of a number of developments which we will be announcing this year, as we look to provide a broader range of fixed income solutions for our clients.”
Nick Woodward added: “I am delighted to be joining RLAM, a leading provider of fixed income products and a leading UK fund management company. As pension schemes de-risk, the key need is for a comprehensive fixed income solution.
